My Lunch Today

My division had a meeting earlier today. Some of my colleague from Bandung were here. Before meeting, we meet outside to have lunch. They decided to ate @ Hayam Wuruk. A restaurant who specialize in Ayam Presto. I don't know what to call it in English. Its a fried chicken but the bone is so tender that you can eat it. So you can eat that chicken to the last piece.

I choose Ayam Cabe Merah (Red Pepper Chicken) since I like spicy food. Love the taste of red pepper with garlic even though it was bit oily.

{snack} Madu Mongso

A while a go, my boss arrived with little present for us. She brought us snack from Central Java called MADU MONGSO (my fav.). 

When I was a kid, my late grandma used to make this snack on Lebaran Day. She said this snack called Madu (honey) Mongso (javanese term for season) cause this snack's taste was sweet and sour (like honey) and they only exist on special occasion like Lebaran Day and Wedding Party.

Madu mongso was made from tape ketan hitam (fermented black sticky rice) , gula aren (brown sugar) and santan (coconut milk).

All you have to do is boiled coconut milk with brown sugar, then pour your fermented black sticky rice. Stir them all together untill there's no more coconut milk left. Then take them from the stove and leave it until it cold.

Last step after it's cold, just take a spoon of Madu mongso, twist it and wrap it with plastic or crepe paper. 

At home, we usually serve it with fried nut also.

Gosh!! this posting made me remember my grandma :(

Meeting @ Bandung Office

Yesterday my division went to Bandung (West Java) for weekly meeting. Usually, we had lunch together @ the office (or some restaurant near by). But yesterday.. we had lunch before we arrived there (coz we're late).

We try a new Sundanese Restaurant (introduced by Resthy). It called 'Ibu Imas' which located @ M. Thoha street. The place was so crowded. We even had to wait a while before we finally got a seat.

Here.. you have to choose food that you want (it's in front of you). They have fried fish, friend chicken, tofu, pepes (fish, mushroom, etc). You can find grilled chicken too.

Other than that, what famous is 'sambal Dadak'. It so hot and spicy.

Meeting's done (with lot of laughing :D) so we decided to go to Soes Merdeka to buy something for our family (it's a cake shop). Laughing till our stomach hurts, teasing each other, those wont be complete without posing and being Narcissus of the day.

Right before we enter free way (that will bring us to Jakarta), we stopped by at Warung Indomie on the side of street. I ordered fried mie (noodle) with beef corned and scrambled egg. Accompanied by Wedang Jahe (Ginger).

When East Meet West

Hi!!

Just a quick post on a hectic day.

Last Thursday I went to Surabaya City (East Java) for some work. Due to a misunderstanding, I got 1st flight while my Manager got the 2nd flight. So I arrived about 1,5 hour earlier than him.

Hmm.. an hour and a half, waiting alone in the airport? No big deal. I just walking around... window shopping .. and finally take a seat in a cafe nearby. Just having me time with writing on my journal. Accompanied by teh poci and a plate of friend fries. A simple east meet west b'fast ;)

 

Craving for Mood Booster

Aaaargghhh!!
Such a busy day!!

My documents an file are piling on floor.

My desk is like a mess.

My cactus is dead.

And I'm craving for something to boost my mood.

Craving for dark chocolate bar or walls's magnum.

But all I have no is Delfi Hot Cocoa.

So just enjoy this Hot Cocoa and 'steal' some time for post this moment ;)

Now back to work.

Tonight's dinner

It's rainy season here in Jakarta.

Almost every day we got heavy rain. Today even worst. Not just rain, but harsh wind and thunder. So scary and cold. All I wanna do is cuddling with my blankie.

Kinda funny.. I always love rain. But sometimes I hate it at the same place. Why?? Coz if the rain was so hard and cold, I always feel hungry :(. Just like today. Rain started around 4 pm and ended around 8 pm. I already have snack @ office, when I arrived home, still feel like wanna chew something in my mouth.

And you know what.. when I arrived home, my mom just about to pull out a pan of this macaroni schotel from oven. The smell of cheese makes me starving :((.

So damn irresistible *sigh*

Ramadhan Market

Hi !!

Today I just wanna share about Ramadhan Market near to my home. Well.. actually this market was in front of the main gate of our housing area. And its only happened during Ramadhan month. There're so many food seller there. From snack to main course. 

 

Here are some pic of them. Not to good I think since I only use my cellphone camera.

And this one is my fav. The seller only sell it on Ramadhan. It's called Cendol. What makes it different is because she use King Fruit aka Durian in it. Hmm so yummi!!
